RESUMO

Response determined by 18[F]-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)-CT after induction therapy can predict progression-free survival (PFS) in follicular lymphoma (FL). However, little prospective research has examined the significance of PET after second-line therapy. We conducted a prospective multicenter phase II trial (W-JHS NHL01) of bendamustine plus rituximab (BR) without rituximab maintenance for FL in first relapse. This study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of end-of-treatment (EOT)-PET for predicting PFS in FL patients in first relapse. EOT-PET examinations were performed between 6 and 8 weeks from the start of the last BR cycle. The primary endpoint was 1-year PFS. Key secondary endpoints were overall response rate (ORR), complete response rate (CRR), and 1-year overall survival (OS). Seventy-five patients were enrolled, and 8 were excluded from analysis. ORR was 86.6% and CRR was 59.7%. One-year PFS was 88.9% (95% confidence interval [CI] 80.7-94.3%) and 1-year OS in 75 patients was 97.3% (95% CI 89.6-99.3%). One-year PFS was significantly inferior in EOT-PET-positive patients (n = 9) compared with PET-negative patients (n = 58) (77.8% vs. 93.1%; p = 0.02). We confirmed that EOT-PET after second-line BR therapy could predict early progression in FL patients in first relapse.

OBJECTIVES: NS-87/CPX-351 is a dual-drug liposomal encapsulation of cytarabine and daunorubicin. NS-87/CPX-351 exerts antileukemic action by maintaining a synergistic molar ratio of cytarabine to daunorubicin of 5:1 within the liposome while in circulation. Patients with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML), which includes therapy-related AML and AML with myelodysplasia-related changes (AML-MRC), have poorer outcomes than those with other AML. METHODOLOGY: This open-label phase 1/2 (P1/2) study was conducted in 47 Japanese patients aged 60-75 years with newly diagnosed high-risk AML to evaluate the pharmacokinetics, safety, and efficacy of NS-87/CPX-351. RESULTS: In the 6 patients enrolled in the P1 portion, no dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) were reported, and 100 units/m2 during the induction cycle was found to be acceptable. Cytarabine and daunorubicin had a long half-life in the terminal phase (32.8 and 28.7 h, respectively). In the 35 patients enrolled in the P2 portion, composite complete remission (CRc; defined as complete remission [CR] or CR with incomplete hematologic recovery [CRi]) was achieved in 60.0% (90% CI: 44.7-74.0) of the patients. Adverse events due to NS-87/CPX-351 were well tolerated. OUTCOMES: NS-87/CPX-351 can be considered as a frontline treatment option for Japanese patients with high-risk AML.

BACKGROUND/AIM: Methionine metabolism contributes to supplying sulfur-containing amino acids, controlling the methyl group transfer reaction, and producing polyamines in cancer cells. Polyamines play important roles in various cellular functions. Methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP), the key enzyme of the methionine salvage pathway, is reported to be deficient in 15-62% of cases of hematological malignancies. MTAP-deficient cancer cells accumulate polyamines, resulting in enhanced cell proliferation. The aim of this study was to investigate the combined effects of the polyamine synthesis inhibitor SAM486A and the anticancer antimetabolite cytarabine in MTAP-deficient leukemic cells in vitro. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The leukemia cell line U937 and the subline, U937/MTAP(-), in which MTAP was knocked down by shRNA, were used. The experiments were performed in media supplemented with 20% methionine (low methionine), which was the minimum concentration for maintaining cellular viability. RESULTS: The knockdown efficiency test confirmed a 70% suppression of the expression of the MTAP gene in U937/MTAP(-) cells. Even in the media with low methionine, the intracellular methionine concentration was not reduced in U937/MTAP(-) cells, suggesting that the minimum supply of methionine was sufficient to maintain intracellular levels of methionine. Both U937/MTAP(+) and U937/MTAP(-) cells were comparably sensitive to anticancer drugs (cytarabine, methotrexate, clofarabine and 6-thioguanine). The combination of SAM486A and cytarabine was demonstrated to have synergistic cytotoxicity in U937/MTAP(-) cells with regard to cell growth inhibition and apoptosis induction, but not in U937/MTAP(+) cells. Mechanistically, SAM486A altered the intracellular polyamine concentrations and reduced the antiapoptotic proteins. CONCLUSION: Methionine metabolism and polyamine synthesis can be attractive therapeutic targets in leukemia.

Guadecitabine is a novel hypomethylating agent (HMA) resistant to deamination by cytidine deaminase. Patients with relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) were randomized to guadecitabine or a preselected treatment choice (TC) of high-intensity chemotherapy; low-intensity treatment with HMAs, or low-dose cytarabine; or best supportive care (BSC). The primary endpoint was overall survival (OS). 302 patients were randomized to guadecitabine (n=148) or TC (n=154). Preselected TCs were low intensity treatment (n=233 [77%; mainly HMAs]), high intensity chemotherapy (n=63 [21%]), and BSC (n=6 [2%]). The median OS were 6.4 and 5.4 months for guadecitabine and TC, respectively (hazard ratio 0.88 [95% confidence interval 0.67, 1.14]; log-rank P=0.33). Survival benefit for guadecitabine was suggested in several prospective subgroups, including age <65 years, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status 0-1, refractory AML, and lower peripheral blood blasts ≤30%. Complete response (CR) + CR with partial hematologic recovery rates were 17% for guadecitabine vs 8% for TC (P<0.01); CR+CR with incomplete count recovery rates were 27% for guadecitabine vs 14% for TC (P<0.01). Safety was comparable for the two arms, but guadecitabine had a higher rate of grade ≥3 neutropenia (32% vs 17%; P<0.01). This study did not demonstrate an OS benefit for guadecitabine. Clinical response rates were higher for guadecitabine, with comparable safety to TC. There was an OS benefit for guadecitabine in several prespecified subgroups. This study was registered as ClinicalTrials.gov as NCT02920008.

Patients with hematological malignancies, especially B-cell malignancies, who received anti-CD20 antibodies exhibit a poor immune response to the mRNA coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine within 6-12 months after the last administration. These patients occasionally present with severe COVID-19 symptoms. Additionally, patients with hematologic diseases who have persistent COVID-19 after receiving anti-CD20 antibodies, postpone chemotherapy for the primary disease. Despite the efficacy of ensitrelvir in shortening the duration of symptoms, evidence of improved prognosis is lacking. However, prognosis might be improved if ensitrelvir treatment could reduce the viral load and shorten the time to postpone chemotherapy. It is unclear whether viral reduction directly improves prognosis. However, faster viral reduction may lead to faster resumption of chemotherapy for the underlying disease, resulting in better prognosis. Here, we present a case wherein we administered ensitrelvir fumaric acid to a 75-year-old woman with persistent COVID-19 after anti-CD20 antibody treatment. Her symptoms resolved quickly, with a reduction of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) viral load, and she could continue receiving chemotherapy for lymphoma. Our findings suggest that ensitrelvir administration should be considered in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection after anti-CD20 antibody treatment.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The frontal sinus (FS) drainage pathway (FSDP) may be a conduit for cerebrospinal fluid leakage after frontobasal craniotomy. In this cadaveric study, we aimed to evaluate the anatomy of the FSDP. METHODS: The FSs and FSDPs of 247 cadavers were investigated. We counted the number of FSs and FSDPs in each half-head, verified the presence of a narrowing section in each FSDP, and evaluated the depth, shape, and size of each narrowing FSDP section. RESULTS: We investigated 494 sides and 472 FSDPs of 247 cadavers. FSs were unilaterally undeveloped in 13 of 247 cadavers (5.3%) and bilaterally in 8 (3.2%). FSs were unilaterally duplicated in 7 of 247 cadavers (2.8%), and no FSs were bilaterally duplicated or triplicated. No FSs had 2 or more FSDPs, and all 472 investigated FSDPs were invariably narrowed at various depths. The narrowing FSDP sections were elliptical (78.6%), circular (18.1%), triangular (1.8%), or crescent-shaped (1.4%) and of varying thickness and orientation. Although FSDPs were asymmetric in 92.2% of cadavers and narrowing FSDP sections were located deep (8.9 ± 4.4 mm from the anterior skull base), the narrowing FSDP sections were typically small (area: 5.9 ± 3.3 mm 2 ) or thin (short diameter: 2.1 ± 0.7 mm). CONCLUSION: Each FS had only one FSDP, all FSDPs were invariably narrowed at various depths, and the narrowing FSDP sections were sufficiently small or thin to allow local closure, facilitating prevention of cerebrospinal fluid leakage after frontobasal craniotomy.

Most clonal cytogenetic abnormalities of Philadelphia-negative cells (CCA/Ph-) occurring during tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment are transient, and the development of secondary myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)/acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is rare, but the frequency and clinical significance in Japanese patients are still unknown. We herein report four patients who developed CCA/Ph- during TKI therapy and were diagnosed with secondary MDS/AML. The duration from TKI therapy initiation to MDS/AML onset ranged from 3 to 48 months, and the survival ranged from 5 to 84 months. The occurrence of CCA/Ph- with MDS/AML may be associated with a poor prognosis, and careful follow-up is recommended for patients who receive TKI therapy.

Introduction: This study aimed to examine the effect of newly developed scissors-attached micro-forceps in superficial temporal artery-to-middle cerebral artery (STA-MCA) anastomosis for moyamoya disease (MMD). Materials and methods: Of 179 consecutive STA-MCA anastomoses on 95 hemispheres of 71 MMD patients at the University of Fukui Hospital between 2009 and 2023, 49 anastomoses on 26 hemispheres of 21 patients were enrolled in this retrospective cohort clinical trial intraoperative indocyanine green video-angiography did not demonstrate bypass patency in three anastomoses in two patients who were excluded. Twenty-one anastomosis in 19 hemispheres of 16 patients were performed using the conventional micro-forceps (conventional group, CG), and 25 anastomoses in 22 hemispheres of 19 patients were performed using scissors-attached micro-forceps (scissors group, SG). A small infarction near the anastomotic site detected using postoperative diffusion-weighted imaging was defined as anastomotic site infarction (ASI). Factors affecting the occurrence of ASI were examined by univariate, logistic regression, and receiver operating curve (ROC) analysis. Results: There were no significant differences in clinical parameters such as age, sex, number of sacrificed branches, number of sacrificed large branches, and number of sutures between the CG and SG. However, the clamp time and occurrence of ASI were significantly lower in the SG than in the CG. Logistic regression analysis revealed that the clamp time was the only significant factor predicting the occurrence of ASI. A receiver operating curve analysis also revealed that the clamp time significantly predicted the occurrence of ASI (area under the curve, 0.875; cutoff value, 33.2 min). Conclusion: The newly developed scissors-attached micro-forceps could significantly reduce the clamp time and occurrence of ASI in STA-MCA anastomosis for MMD.

Cord blood is an important donor source for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), with its unique composition and quality of hematopoietic cells. The proliferation site and potency of infused hematopoietic stem cells in humans may vary between stem cell sources. We investigated this possibility in a prospective, exploratory study to assess hematopoietic dynamics using the radiopharmaceutical 3'-deoxy-3'-18F-fluorothymidine (18F-FLT), a thymidine analog used in positron emission tomography imaging, before allo-HSCT and on days 50 and 180 after allo-HSCT. We evaluated 11 patients with hematological malignancies who underwent allo-HSCT [five with peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (PBSCT) and six with unrelated cord blood transplantation (UCBT)]. Before allo-HSCT, 18F-FLT uptake did not differ between the two groups. At day 50, 18F-FLT uptake in the spleen was significantly greater in the UCBT group than in the PBSCT group (p = 0.0043), with no difference in whole-body bone marrow. At day 180, the differences in spleen uptake had diminished, and there were no differences between groups in whole-body bone marrow or the spleen, except for the sternum. The persistence of splenic hematopoiesis after engraftment in the UCBT group may reflect the complex systemic homing and proliferation mechanisms of cord blood hematopoietic cells.

Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type-1 (HTLV-1)-associated bronchioloalveolar disorder (HABA) is a pulmonary disorder characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of the peribronchiolar space and interstitium in HTLV-1 carriers and in adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL). We herein report an 85-year-old woman carrying HTLV-1 with HABA who presented with a miliary pattern of micronodules in both lungs on high-resolution computed tomography and a lymphocytic infiltrate with non-necrotizing granulomas on pathology. This rare case of HABA should be differentiated from sarcoidosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, or miliary tuberculosis.

No studies have focused on the trajectory of the average relative dose intensity (ARDI) during cycles of first-line chemotherapy for patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. To evaluate the impact of attenuating ARDI during cycles on overall survival, we conducted a multi-centre, longitudinal, observational retrospective study. A total of 307 analysable patients were enrolled. Multivariate Cox hazards modelling with restricted cubic spline models revealed prognostic benefits of higher ARDI up to, but not after, cycle 6. According to group-based trajectory modelling, patients were classified into five groups depending on the pattern of ARDI changes. Among these, two groups in which ARDI had fallen significantly to less than 50% by cycles 4-6 displayed significantly poorer prognosis, despite increased ARDI in the second half of the treatment period (log-rank p = 0.02). The Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index offered significant prediction of unfavourable ARDI changes (odds ratio 2.540, 95% confidence interval 1.020-6.310; p = 0.044). Up to cycle 6, maintenance of ARDI in all cycles (but particularly in the early cycles) is important for prognosis. Malnutrition is a significant factor that lets patients trace patterns of ARDI changes during cycles of chemotherapy associated with untoward prognosis.

BACKGROUND: The HELT-E2S2score, which assigns 1 point to Hypertension, Elderly aged 75-84 years, Low body mass index <18.5 kg/m2, and Type of atrial fibrillation (AF: persistent/permanent), and 2 points to Extreme Elderly aged ≥85 years and previous Stroke, has been proposed as a new risk stratification for strokes in Japanese AF patients, but has not yet undergone external validation.Methods and Results: We evaluated the prognostic performance of the HELT-E2S2score for stroke risk stratification using 2 large-scale registries in Japanese AF patients (n=7,020). During 23,241 person-years of follow-up (mean follow-up 1,208±450 days), 287 ischemic stroke events occurred. The C-statistic using the HELT-E2S2score was 0.661 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.629-0.692), which was numerically higher than with the CHADS2score (0.644, 95% CI 0.613-0.675; P=0.15 vs. HELT-E2S2) or CHA2DS2-VASc score (0.650, 95% CI, 0.619-0.680; P=0.37 vs. HELT-E2S2). In the SAKURA AF Registry, the C-statistic of the HELT-E2S2score was consistently higher than the CHADS2and CHA2DS2-VASc scores across all 3 types of facilities comprising university hospitals, general hospitals, and clinics. However, in the RAFFINE Study, its superiority was only observed in general hospitals. CONCLUSIONS: The HELT-E2S2score demonstrated potential value for risk stratification, particularly in a super-aged society such as Japan. However, its superiority over the CHADS2or CHA2DS2-VASc scores may vary across different hospital settings.

INTRODUCTION: As the numbers of older adult patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) continue to increase, the establishment of a simple geriatric assessment specifically for AML represents an unmet need. This study aimed to assess the impact of the Geriatric 8 (G8) score on overall survival (OS). MATERIALS AND METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed 100 patients ≥60 years old with newly diagnosed AML. RESULTS: Multivariate Cox modeling identified G8 score as a significant prognostic factor for OS (hazard ratio 0.891, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.808-0.983). A linear association between G8 score and mortality risk was confirmed in a Cox model with restricted cubic spline. Multivariate receiver operating characteristic curves demonstrated a significant improvement in prediction ability when G8 score was added to cytogenetic risk group. The combination of G8 score and cytogenetic risk group yielded a significant continuous net reclassification improvement (0.718; 95%CI 0.353-1.082; P < 0.001). Decision curve analysis showed a clinical net benefit associated with adding G8 score to cytogenetic risk group. DISCUSSION: G8 score not only offered a strong prognostic factor for OS, but also markedly improved prediction accuracy for mortality when incorporated with cytogenetic risk group.

A Japanese subgroup analysis from the Asian phase II study of darinaparsin in patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) was performed to evaluate the efficacy and safety outcomes of the Japanese population. In this Asian phase II study, darinaparsin was administered to 65 patients, including 37 Japanese patients. In the Japanese population, the histopathological type of PTCL was PTCL, not otherwise specified in 26 patients (70.3%), angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma in 9 patients (24.3%) and anaplastic large cell lymphoma, anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) -negative in 2 patients (5.4%), and the median patient age was 70.0 (range: 43-85). 94.6% and 35.1% of the Japanese population had previously received multi-agent and single-agent regimen, respectively. The efficacy and safety were summarized and compared between the overall and Japanese populations. Based on central assessment, the overall response rate was 22.2% (8/36; 90% confidence interval [CI]: 11.6-36.5) in the Japanese population and 19.3% (11/57; 90% CI: 11.2-29.9) in the overall population. There were no essential differences in the safety profile of darinaparsin between the Japanese population and the overall population. The results of this subgroup analysis indicate that the efficacy and safety profiles of the Japanese subpopulation were broadly consistent with that of the overall population, and that darinaparsin is potentially an effective treatment with a manageable safety profile in Japanese patients with relapse or refractory PTCL.

Extranodal involvement predicts poor outcomes of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), but the impact of the metabolic tumor burden (MTV) of extranodal sites using positron emission tomography has not been clarified. This study aimed to assess the impact of extranodal MTV on overall survival (OS). We retrospectively analyzed 145 newly diagnosed DLBCL patients and verified the prognostic impact of each extranodal and nodal MTV. Multivariate Cox hazards modelling using both extranodal and nodal MTV as covariables identified extranodal MTV as a significant factor for OS (hazard ratio [HR] 1.072, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.019-1.129, P = 0.008), but not nodal MTV. Multivariate Cox modelling using restricted cubic splines demonstrated that the impact of total MTV depends on the MTV of extranodal sites, not of nodal sites. When both the number and MTV of extranodal involvements were used as covariables, extranodal MTV remained a significant predictor of OS (HR 1.070, 95%CI 1.017-1.127, P = 0.009), but the number of extranodal sites did not. Extranodal MTV potentially had a more significant role on prognosis than nodal MTV. When considering prognostic impacts, the MTV of extranodal involvement is significantly more important than the number.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a malignant incurable brain tumor in which immature neoplastic cells infiltrate brain tissue by spreading along nerve fibers. The aim of the study was to compare the migration abilities of glioma cells with those of other cancer cells and elucidate the migratory profiles underlying the differential migration of glioma cells using a fiber-based quantitative migration assay. Here, wound healing and transwell assays were used to assess cell mobility in four cell lines: U87-MG glioblastoma cells, MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells, HCT116 colorectal cancer cells, and MKN45 gastric cancer cells. We also assessed cell mobility using a fiber model that mimics nerve fibers. Time-lapse video microscopy was used to observe cell migration and morphology. The cytoskeleton arrangement was assessed in the fiber model and compared with that in the conventional cell culture model. The conventional evaluation of cell migration ability revealed that the migration ability of breast cancer and glioblastoma cell lines was higher than that of colon cancer and gastric cancer cell lines. The fiber model confirmed that the glioblastoma cell line had a significantly higher migration ability than other cell lines. Tubulin levels were significantly higher in the glioblastoma cells than in other cell lines. In conclusion, the developed fiber-based culture model revealed the specific migratory profile of GBM cells during invasion.

Next-generation sequencing of AML has identified specific genetic mutations in AML patients. Hematologic Malignancies (HM)-SCREEN-Japan 01 is a multicenter study to detect actionable mutations using paraffin-embedded bone marrow (BM) clot specimens rather than BM fluid in AML patients for whom standard treatment has not been established. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the presence of potentially therapeutic target gene mutations in patients with newly diagnosed unfit AML and relapsed/refractory AML (R/R-AML) using BM clot specimens. In this study, 188 patients were enrolled and targeted sequencing was undertaken on DNA from 437 genes and RNA from 265 genes. High-quality DNA and RNA were obtained using BM clot specimens, with genetic alterations successfully detected in 177 patients (97.3%), and fusion transcripts in 41 patients (23.2%). The median turnaround time was 13 days. In the detection of fusion genes, not only common fusion products such as RUNX1-RUX1T1 and KMT2A rearrangements, but also NUP98 rearrangements and rare fusion genes were observed. Among 177 patients (72 with unfit AML, 105 with R/R-AML), mutations in KIT and WT1 were independent factors for overall survival (hazard ratio = 12.6 and 8.88, respectively), and patients with high variant allele frequency (≥40%) of TP53 mutations had a poor prognosis. As for the detection of actionable mutations, 38% (n = 69) of patients had useful genetic mutation (FLT3-ITD/TKD, IDH1/2, and DNMT3AR822 ) for treatment selection. Comprehensive genomic profiling using paraffin-embedded BM clot specimens successfully identified leukemic-associated genes that can be used as therapeutic targets.

Neuroepigenetics considers genetic sequences and the interplay with environmental influences to elucidate vulnerability risk for various neurological and psychiatric disorders. However, evaluating DNA methylation of brain tissue is challenging owing to the issue of tissue specificity. Consequently, peripheral surrogate tissues were used, resulting in limited progress compared with other epigenetic studies, such as cancer research. Therefore, we developed databases to establish correlations between the brain and peripheral tissues in the same individuals. Four tissues, resected brain tissue, blood, saliva, and buccal mucosa (buccal), were collected from 19 patients (aged 13-73 years) who underwent neurosurgery. Moreover, their genome-wide DNA methylation was assessed using the Infinium HumanMethylationEPIC BeadChip arrays to determine the cross-tissue correlation of each combination. These correlation analyses were conducted with all methylation sites and with variable CpGs, and with when these were adjusted for cellular proportions. For the averaged data for each CpG across individuals, the saliva-brain correlation (r = 0.90) was higher than that for blood-brain (r = 0.87) and buccal-brain (r = 0.88) comparisons. Among individual CpGs, blood had the highest proportion of CpGs correlated to the brain at nominally significant levels (19.0%), followed by saliva (14.4%) and buccal (9.8%). These results were similar to the previous IMAGE-CpG results; however, cross-database correlations of the correlation coefficients revealed a relatively low (brain vs. blood: r = 0.27, saliva: r = 0.18, and buccal: r = 0.24). To the best of our knowledge, this is the fifth study in the literature initiating the development of databases for correlations between the brain and peripheral tissues in the same individuals. We present the first database developed from an Asian population, specifically Japanese samples (AMAZE-CpG), which would contribute to interpreting individual epigenetic study results from various Asian populations.

BACKGROUND: The role of visual evoked potential (VEP) in direct clipping of the paraclinoid internal carotid artery (ICA) aneurysm remains uncertain. OBJECTIVE: To examine whether intraoperative neuromonitoring with VEP can predict deterioration of visual function after direct clipping of the paraclinoid ICA aneurysm with anterior clinoidectomy. METHODS: Among consecutive 274 patients with unruptured cerebral aneurysm, we enrolled 25 patients with paraclinoid ICA aneurysm treated by direct clipping after anterior clinoidectomy with intraoperative neuromonitoring with VEP in this study. We evaluated the visual acuity loss (VAL) and visual field loss (VFL) before surgery, 1 month after surgery, and at the final follow-up. RESULTS: The VAL at 1 month after surgery (VAL1M) and VAL at the final follow-up (Final VAL) were significantly related to the reduction rate of VEP amplitude at the end of surgery (RedEnd%), more than 76.5%, and the maximal reduction rate of VEP amplitude during surgery (MaxRed%), more than 66.7% to 70%. The VFL at 1 month after surgery (VFL1M) and the VFL at the final follow-up (Final VFL) were significantly related to MaxRed% more than 60.7%. CONCLUSION: VAL1M, Final VAL, VFL1M, and Final VFL could be significantly predicted by the value of RedEnd% and MaxRed% in direct clipping of Al-Rodhan group Ia, Ib, and II paraclinoid ICA aneurysms with anterior clinoidectomy.
